Five friends decide to play a game of Civilization VI because they thought being world leaders couldn't be that hard but soon find out just what they have undertaken and find out just how difficult it can be. Will they still be friends or will the difficulties and challenges of keeping the citizens alive drive them apart as the barbarian onslaught looms overhead threatening to destroy them all.
